Karnak Temple and the Sacred Lake at sunrise. Karnak was the residence of gods, Amon-Re, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, the moon god. The Temple of Karnak is located 4 kilometers north of modern day Luxor, or ancient Thebes. Built in the 12th dynasty, 2000 B.C.- 220 B.C.
